I like the delta tactical speys by airflo. They seem like they go well on all my rods. For the shorter runs and slots on the salmon over the past few years, I have been leaning to scandis though.

Hard to beat the AF compact scandi.Matched up with the Rio tips and they are tight and long.As far as mids,I like the older Rio midspeys and the Nexcast lines.

I've cast a next cast winter authority and that was amazing, but I have also heard really good things about the delta spey

I love the cnd gps on my fly logic dec hogan 13ft 8wt but unfortunately I can get another one in the US. Leaning toward a Carron line for this same rod. I do like the delta spey as well.

what's your favorite mid or long belly line and for what rod? I'm thinking on getting a longer belly line to mess around with Only 3 long belly lines I'm ever cast other then DT lines. Those being the Rio Accelerator which was replaced by the GrandSpey & the SA XLT. The two former are no longer made! Little use on the Salmon River for these lines unless you are fishing full floating & long rods. Mid belly lines are fine if you're not using short rods. If you have rod of at least 13' they can load the rod & have enough head outside the guides to do so. The Rio UniSpey is a nice Mid Belly line & can be had in intergrated running line as a full floater or as a full floating head or a removable 20' tip shooting head. The tip can be removed for use with either 15' VersaTips or MOW Tips. If you use VersaTips most likely you'll need to go up one weight to equal the grains of the floating tip! MOW Tips will be either Med (T11) or Heavy (T14) depending on your line weight. A great line for rods 12' or less is the Rio Scandi Short. Desined for Great Lakes Tribs it has a 10' tip that can cast & lift the 10' VersaTips as well as MOW tips.
