That's the Compactor Bridge! Closed today 4/6/15 for replacement. Cost of 1.3 million. Due to reopen by salmon season! The boat ramp is accessible, but parking on the DEC school side of the road is not. Also there will be no way to walk across the construction zone. To fish downstream of the bridge, one will have to park by DEC & walk off road or park in the boat ramp lot & cross the river below the bridge pool.
No sidewalks will be on the new bridge, but a 4' shoulder will be on each side. Knowing DOT they will likely post No Parking, roadside when complete, as they did on the other side 2yrs back. Leaving no parking on both sides!
