Not to say that I have anything against the Asians that always seem to be on the Salmon River in the summer, but they always seem to want to fish where I do any place outside of the UFZ. Yesterday, Saturday, I went to the river for a look around! Took a look at the bank work in town & stopped by the Pinneville lot too. When I got to the Pineville lot there was at least 50 Asians with 10 or so cars, haveing a Clan outing. They had a large tarp tied up in the trees & even live music with amps. I surely hope the people setting up our Clave can get there early enough in two weeks, that the Asian Clan doesn't get to set up their site first. The younger ones do speak some english, but the elders just smile when spoken to & go about what they are doing. A few weeks ago @ Hickory Hole (2A) Mama-son would work her way right up to me, till her bobber was in my ancor, just to put another 3" Chub (Fall Fish) or as I like to call them SRT (Salmon River Tarpon), in her plastic bag. When I said something to her, she just smiled with her upside-down, corn-cobb pipe in mouth & catch another fish! Being I was just testing lines, it was I who gave into them & left.
